UAWD’s Daily Struggle is a class struggle publication by and for UAW rank-and-file members, and we need your support raising $25,000 to make it successful!

More About Our Campaign

Unite All Workers for Democracy (UAWD) is a grassroots movement of UAW members united in our common class struggle vision for a militant, member-led UAW. As we say in our UAWD Member Platform, “We believe that class struggle is an ongoing effort we take collectively against the ruling class, through bottom-up organizing on the shop floor and in communities, to win the collective liberation of the working class around the world.” Every gain workers have made has been won through fighting back relentlessly.

As the Trump administration’s attacks on the working class grow and the genocide in Gaza rages on, we know our own shop floors continue to be an important site of struggle against tariff-fueled layoffs, attacks on free speech, and the ever-increasing exploitation of workers. The political education and organizing that UAWD members are leading to build our movement of shop floor militants in the UAW is more important than ever. We can either consolidate and improve upon the advances that we’ve made in recent years or see them washed away.

Can the labor movement survive and win a better world for all by confining itself to reforming unions and restricting the battle to the negotiating table? We don’t think so. The enemies — the bosses of the workplace, the boardroom, and the White House — wield their power as a class in every sphere of society to ensure their domination of the world. As workers, we must engage in a class struggle to resist them, drawing on old ideas and developing a new strategy to face them.

At this crucial juncture, UAWD is launching Daily Struggle to champion a rank-and-file-led class struggle movement in the UAW that will fight for the entire global working class. To share militant tactics to take back control on the shop floor. To build solidarity across borders and racial and gender divides. To take control over our lives and the resources and infrastructure we rely on to live, both at work and in our communities.

Your support and donation will primarily go towards enabling us to meet our commitment in the Daily Struggle Charter to run a quarterly print edition that will feature the most exciting, impactful articles and illustrations from our website, which will be launching on October 19th.

We will be printing thousands of copies, which will be distributed by UAWD members who are leading shop floor struggles around the country. UAWD members, from rank-and-file leaders to elected stewards and Local officials, will use the stories of militancy and fights for worker control to bring our class struggle vision to the over 400,000 UAW members spanning sectors and regions of the country.

Our fundraising will also support ongoing outreach to the broader UAW membership, through our trainings on class struggle shop floor organizing tactics and our continued work building Local UAWD Chapters. In addition, a small portion of the funds raised will go towards website hosting and maintenance and other organizational costs.

Beyond our direct scope in the UAW, we see our mission as spurring on a class struggle movement in unions and workplaces across the country, coordinating with partners on the Left and other shop floor militants to build working class power strong enough to take back control of our lives from the ruling class.

UAWD will never sell or distribute your personal information to any business, group, or organization.

Donations are not tax deductible. Please note that UAWD does not accept donations from employers. If you employ one or more individuals, we cannot accept your donation.

Financial contributions to UAWD do not give the donor any rights or privileges to control the designation of funds or any other aspect of UAWD. All UAWD funds are democratically controlled and overseen by the UAWD membership and our elected Steering Committee.

UAWD members adopted a policy that provides UAWD members control over our fundraising, and fosters trust and engagement amongst our members. Donations from individuals of $10,000 or above, within a 12-month period, require the approval of the UAWD membership at a membership meeting.
